"Hereford" Cup and Saucer, Alfred Meakin Staffordshire England, a hand engraved pattern applied under the glaze. Detergent and acid proof colour.

A wide green band runs around the outer edge of the saucer and the inside edge of the cup. The center of the saucer and the front of the cup are decorated with dark red and yellow fruits with green and brown leaves.

The saucer measures 5 5/8" in diameter and rounds up about 5/8" high. The cup measures 3 3/8" across the top not including the handle, and the cup measures 2 3/4" high.

The saucer is marked on the bottom: "Hereford" Alfred Meakin, Staffordshire, England......... The cup has England incised on the bottom.
